Took a bubble bath to try and ease the cramps from the membrane stripping... helped until I got out. Now my cramps are 10x worse and I'm getting back pain. Haven't noticed like any consistent contractions.

When I went into labor I just thought I was having Braxton Hicks and I realized it was something more when I got out & it was so much worse. But mine were constant. Went to the hospital and was 4 1/2 cm!

If you're cramping, membrane sweep is working. A bath will relax you and potentially intensify any discomfort or contractions. That's your body preparing.

You're definitely allowed baths. I always scrub the tub before I take any. That's why there's water births.
