Has anyone taken their toddler to a major golf tournament? We're thinking of taking our guy to the PGA tour next week. I know people do and people don't. I'm not into golf so I don't mind just walking and running after baby and not seeing what's going on. We also purchased a used hiking carrier that well be using for baby. Just wondering if anyone's done it and how it was.

Yes, If you're within so many yards of someone while they're about to hit the ball. His dad works on a golf course and we frequent it so we've got him kinda trained on shushing while people are shooting lol
But I don't plan on getting too close to the hot spots due to the massive amounts of people in attendance.

I’d never suggest taking a toddler somewhere where they have to be quiet.

@addy, I just noticed how old he is. He’s at a great age to explore outdoors!! Do you not have a nice nature park near by?

@addy, I saw carrier and thought he was really little. Are you used to using a carrier for a toddler? It could be hot and sweaty and heavy.

yes, we got the osprey one this time. We've used different carriers since he was born but none have faired well for long walks or hikes. Hoping this one is better. We do tons of parks, arboretum's, zoos, etc. We're always outdoors with this kid.

I would think sure but not for the entire time. A hiking carrier isn’t the best place to fall asleep either so I would take rest time into consideration.

Only be going a few hours. Bringing the carrier instead of a stroller as it's quite difficult to navigate using a stroller. We'd also be going after his morning nap and leaving around the time for his late afternoon nap.

Also, its a course we're familiar with and know people who live on it in case we need a break or nap.

Never golfing but I’ve done places like Disneyland or festivals. I don’t see why not. Just make sure baby has sun screen on, drinks plenty and isn’t in the sun too much. Typical outdoor rules you’d use even for yourself.
