My second and third were scheduled section. 2nd was fine. 3rd didn’t make it to 39w. Went to L&D at 38w because of contractions and had my section 2.5 hours later.

I had a scheduled csection set for tomorrow but I ended up having it on Thursday instead due to my daughters heart rate dropping during a routine NST, they admitted me to the hospital and started surgery 4 hours later, ended up giving me a spinal and doing my surgery right after. Everything went smooth this time around, and I had an emergency csection the first time around.

My baby was breech so I had a c section scheduled for 39 weeks. I went into labor at 38 weeks so they did the c section then.

I’ve had 2. My first was breech. I didn’t make it till my scheduled date the second time because I developed preeclampsia.
But they both went about the same, just different times of the day.
I went in and got a gown and they hooked me up to the monitor and iv. When it was almost time to go back to the OR they gave me meds in my iv and you have to drink this DISGUSTING acid reducer. Can’t have gum, water, a mint, NOTHING to take that nasty taste away. But you’ll soon be focused on everything else. I walked into the or and sat on the table. If you’ve never had surgery, prepare.. it’s bright and cold in there. Then it was time for the spinal. They told me to arch my back like I cat(sometimes they give you a pillow to hug to make it easier) and they give you a numbing shot but you might still feel the pressure of the spinal if they miss the spot. As soon as it’s in place, they’ll lay you back pretty quickly so that you don’t get a spinal headache. As soon as I laid down and they were strapping my legs and arms down , I started puking, which is very common. With my first I didn’t puke until after they got her out. But you will feel touching, but no pain. You feel them pushing and tugging when they’re close to getting baby out. There will be a curtain up so you can’t see but whoever is with you can stand up and look if they want as long as they don’t touch anything. Baby and whoever is with you will leave the room while you’re being stitched/stapled/glued back up and you’ll get your baby back when you go to recovery!
Keep in mind this is just typical routine where I live so it could be a little different for you! I would ask your dr next visit to walk you through everything that’s going to happen. That’s what I did with the de who delivered my daughter and I felt a lot less anxious!

Yes i had a emergency csection with my daughter. My doctor told me we can try vbac if i go in sooner but my canal is narrow so im hoping something changes by then

I had a scheduled C-section with my second it was set at 39 weeks I went in I set up all of the stuff it just so happened that I ended up going into an emergency C-section a week before my scheduled C-section.

It went fine, I went in, they had me get changed into a gown, hooked me up to an IV. Then they walked me to the room, sat me on the bed and gave me the spinal block (I believe that’s what it’s called). Then I went through csection like normal. Did you have a csection for your first child? They scheduled it for a week before my due date as they didn’t want me to go into labor for nothing.

I almost has a scheduled csection with my 2nd baby but he came one day before the surgery and I delivered him via vbac. I was initially going in that day to be induced so I could try to avoid the csection because I really didn't want to have another one. I do know that if you are to have a scheduled csection and baby comes before the date, they'll just do the csection then instead. Have you had a csection before?
