Don't know why it bothers me but it upsets me when people look at my son and then at my daughter's ultrasounds and say she looks just like her brother. Like I know they are siblings but she's a girl and she looks like a little girl not a boy. 😔

Awe. It just means y’all have some strong and cute genes. My little brother is my twin but he definitely looks like a little boy. I don’t feel like I look manly, though. You can just tell we’re related.

I hope so I know siblings look similar but different I guess I'm being super sensitive. To me it feels like they are saying she looks like a boy. You definitely don't look manly at all you are pretty!

I totally get that! From what I’ve seen, she looks just like you. But your son favors you a lot, too. Lol you just make cute kids 🤷🏻♀️

@mommaofjais thank you! 😊 I feel like she is favoring me over my husband while my son looks like both of us. Your the first person to say he looks like me everyone else said he looks just like his dad.

It's an ultrasound, no one knows what baby will actually look like. You get a pretty good idea of structure but damn, let baby be born as their own identity before you start making one for them SMH sorry momma, just ignore them silly people

ugh people are horrible. I had a woman I worked with (and adored) who made me cry on the regular bc of her opinions on my baby. I wish it didn't get to me but damn hormones prevent most reasoning lol

@addy yeah the hormones are definitely not helping 😆 I know they don't mean anything bad by it but why can't you just say she looks cute instead of comparing her to her brother already. Aww thank you it makes me feel so much better. 😊 I guess I needed to just vent about it.

I think they might just mean the structure? Idk my daughters ultrasound doesn’t look like her brothers but I mean that doesn’t mean they won’t look related either. I picture her looking more like me rather than how my son is who looks like all the men in my family and me as a baby lol

Lol I feel like she has a longer face than he did when he was in the womb/just born but now that he's two his face looks longer so I don't know if they are comparing them by how my son looks now to how she looks in the womb or what.

Well it’s an ultrasound so no one knows what she’s really going to look like until she’s born and even then babies change a lot in the first 2 years. Personally I love that my kids have similarities even though they are not the same gender 😍 They both have my eyes and definitely look related! Some people get kids that look nothing alike.

I definitely don't mind them having some similarities but when they say she looks exactly like him like they are twins I'm like what? Personally I feel like she has a longer face than he did when he was just born. Then as he grew up he started getting the longer face.

Awww mommy, it’s okay- babies and young children really don’t look all that different yet. Most of the time the only way we tell if the baby/toddler is a boy or a girl is by what we dress them in or how we keep/style their hair. As for an ultrasound, they probably mean the profile of the face? My boy and girls profiles looked similar as well. That baby nose and the same amount of weight on them. People do not mean to be mean or hurt you. Honestly, you could give me 1000 ultrasound images and as long as the between the leg region is covered, I would not be able to guess for the life of me if it’s a boy or a girl, it would just be a 50/50 chance I was right.
