Ladies I have a question(I’ll be asking my dr as well since she has the records) when I was in labor with my son, my nurse came in looked at my temp and started ripping my blankets off me and left me with the top sheet and said “you have a 104 fever no blankets” I was FREEZING which is why I had so many blankets. I had 2 of the hospitals warmed blankets, the top sheet under those and my own blanket on top of all that. I was STILL cold. Mind you I was on antibiotics because I tested positive for strep B. I STILL got an infection while hooked up to my iv meds and everything. When he came out my son and the whole room smelled awful. My nurses were like “you have some kind of infection in your amniotic fluid and the sac which is why he smelled so bad. My mom and I just the other day(2 and a half years later 🙃) realized “hey I was on antibiotics and all my nurses and dr said I got an infection...WHILE ON ANTIBIOTICS FOR SOMETHING ELSE.” How does that even happen? Obviously we were both okay but how did I get an infection while antibiotics were running through my system? Is this gonna happen with this baby too?
