Life is different when my step daughter comes over. There’s a different vibe in the house.

Is she over a lot? It's hard to go to a place that you don't live and you can act like a whole different person.
Being a stop daughter I know that feeling all to well. Go out of your way to make her feel welcome. Eventually you show her you will always be there things will change.
It’s not bad, it’s just different. Really hard to explain too. It’s like she feels like she doesn’t fit in with us or something.
@queentaylor maybe include her in almost everything around the house..not saying you don't love just a suggestion. Cooking, baking, lots of affection and compliments, watching something together she likes, girl time..painting each other's nails, ask her for her input on different things, like clothing or books she likes.

Vibe is different when my step son is here too. He’s 16 though. We have him 50/50. We do our best to make him feel included in everything! He also had a lot of time with his dad alone, movies, my husband teaches him how to drive stick, etc.
