Tips on gaining weight? My baby is 22 months old and only 19 pounds. She’s in the 2nd percentile and has been since birth. She was full term (born on my due date) she had a dietician for a while but her pediatrician said that was no longer necessary. She eats EVERYTHING and she eats all day long but she still doesn’t gain weight. I even give her a multivitamin and still no improvement.

My 29 weeker is 3 1/2 and only 27 pounds, his pediatrician want us to see an endocrinologist. A good pediatrician will assess your child’s growth and see whether she is on her own growth path and go from there. Not every kid is going to gain the same way. My son has days where he eats more than my 7 year old and is on his own chart, but also like, 1-2 percentile for his age. =\ Wish I had advice. Just make sure she’s developing normally and if you’re worried than see if a trip to an endocrinologist would be worth your time.
