I want to try drinking just water for a whole month. Well, not JUST water but I mean no teas, sodas, sugary drinks, milk, etc. I have a habit of drinking my calories and since I’ve been consuming so much sugar, my skin has been acting out. Any tips on how to stick with it? Not that this is much of a diet, but I’ve never dieted in a healthy way and it would be nice if there’s little ways to make it fun and enjoyable!

I was a HUGE soda drinker for years, that was practically all I drank and I finally decided this year I would cut it out and start drinking mostly water. Mostly just keeping soda out of the house has helped the most. I bought a water bottle that you can infuse fruit in. I like to buy bags of frozen mixed fruit and just toss them in.

There are apps that remind you to drink water and make it fun.

Once you get used to it then it becomes normal and you don’t even crave the sugary stuff. I’ve been drinking only water pretty much my whole adult life. I drink plain black tea in the mornings and water the rest of the day. I was never a big soda drinker as a kid, we got it only on holidays. Sometimes I’ll have orange juice but it’s like seriously once a month. Just don’t buy any of that stuff and if you go out to a restaurant think about how much money you’re saving. Or just get one drink and share with your husband but let him drink most of it. Maybe give yourself one reward day a week, like on Saturday or something where you can have one sugary drink. Make it a gradual process.
