You have to have your BC first because they won’t give you a SSC without BC and ID.

@aliciaandray, I just went through this myself and no they won’t . An you have to have ID to get your birth certificate.

It really doesn’t matter you can go to either one first just as long as you have your ID

Actually it looks like you can request one online with a copy of your driver’s license.

I believe you can get birth certificate just with a license if you have that. I’d do that first.

BC first, I believe. I don’t think the SSA will issue a replacement card without a BC but you can check on their website.
