Nia's first time night home was a lil rough cause La'Ron my 2 yr old kept going in the room with the baby. She brought a bottle in the room as if she was going to feed Nia. So I barely slept last night trying to keep an eye on La'Ron, cause she's a little bit rough with Nia. She's affectionate with her and all which I'm glad for cause I thought she was going to be the total opposite. But she's not understanding that she has to be gentle with the baby. Ronald my 3 yr old is obsessed with Nia as well, but if we tell him to be gentle he does. They both want to just be with her and play with her. I'm finding it hard to explain that she is not big enough, my explanation is met with tantrums. Any mom's have a 2 yr old, 3 yr old and a new born? If so how did you help them be more gentle with and understand that the baby isn't ready to play yet?

I have sort of this problem except my daughter is 5. She seems to not grasp the idea that the baby is not the same as a doll & that she can’t be trying to pick her up & play crazy with her because she can really hurt her. She likes grabbing her legs & wiggling then which does make the baby laugh but I get nervous she’s being too rough & could hurt her leg & it’s not like the baby can talk yet to even tell me she’s in pain. So I understand to a point what you’re going through.
