So mamas with lil ones and lip ties, i need help. My son had issues breastfeeding, so we had to give it up. I brought up lip and tongue ties, but his doctor said he didnt have either. Fast forward to his 15m check up today, and the doctor we saw today said he has a severe lip tie that needs to be cut asap because his front teeth aren't growing in properly now. So now in addition to being livid that i gave up breastfeeding for no reason, im also worried, scared, and angry that my lil one has to have this done at all. So basically, any advice would be really great...

That makes me feel a little better. I was so worried that his teeth would stay gapped. Im just so agitated that its been this bad his whole little life, but i was made to feel like i was crazy for suggesting the lip/tongue tie, just to find out he does have it, and badly too

My daughter had a lip tie so bad her two front teeth were growing in with a huge gap. She also had problems latching. She would loose suction on every gulp and would cry and give up so us to gave up breastfeeding. Lip tie was known and could of had it cut but didn't want to spend the money. At age 2 she slipped and bashed her lip on my knee. Lip tie ripped and is no longer there. It bled for like 2 min. Wish I would of just had it cut. If I have same issue with this baby I'm definitely going to get it cut because I want to breastfeed
