My dog still isn’t doing better she’s still going outside every 30 minutes to an hour to go number 2 she has loose stool and foamy vomit. Won’t really eat is refusing to drink. She’s lost so much weight idk what else to do. I’m not sleeping well through the night because she constantly cries to go out then stays out there for an hour. I’m lost and don’t know what else to do

No we are going to take her but I think the best option is to put her down because she’s refusing her medication, food and water m. Our house smells like a sick dog pooped everywhere (which she has) she’s constantly crying due to arthritis. I’m lost I don’t know what else to do. She’s constantly throwing up

What kind of dog? Did they do an X-ray of their belly to make sure their stomach didn’t flip?

Yeah they did an x Ray when we first took her and they said everything looked fine

How old is she? Have you tried boiled chicken and rice? Theres multiple explanations and could possibly be fixed/helped. She needs to see a vet immediately.

Yes we’ve tried everything we can. She’s almost 13 years old. She’s in pain from arthritis. She’s seen a vet 3 times this month and they can’t figure out what’s wrong. It’s costing a lot of money for us to keep taking her to the vet. I know people will judge me for this decision but she’s not anyone else’s pet but mine and no one else is around to see how bad she’s suffering. We’ve tried medications and she’s too old for surgery.

I work in an emergency vet. I completely understand, but don't let her suffer. If you think it's time to let her go and know in your heart that's best..then let her go. I know its really hard, I'm sorry 😭

I know and I’m heartbroken. We’ve tried everything. I don’t want to keep her alive just because I don’t want to let her go o feel that’s selfish. What kind of life is constantly going outside and pooping for an hour and having to go every 30 minutes. She’s not peeing very much either. She will eat wet dog food but then she gets sick and I’ve tried multiple different kinds of dog food. I know it’s time when even my husband is saying he’s been thinking about having her put down

Aww, sweet baby 🐾💗. It's so hard at that age. There's critical care..easy on them diet food...like I said there's options but you can only push her so hard! I'd just ask your vet their opinion on this being the end. They know best!

my husband is now back tracking he doesn’t think it’s old age but I’m almost 100 percent positive that’s what it is. We’ve gotten her special dog food and she seemed to eat it pretty well but she’s not putting on weight. It’s like she’s losing more. You can see her spine and ribs. I feed her twice a day and she gets chicken that my daughter drops on the floor when she’s eating lunch

This was her last summer my husband was walking her in our local park. She’s changed so much and it hurts

It sounds like she’s suffering and in pain. Letting her go would be the humane thing to do.

I know you said you've taken her to the vet numerous times. Have you tried a different vet??? There has to be something they're missing if it isn't just due to her old age. It's terrible they're just letting her suffer. If her quality of life is suffering this much, she's in that much pain and she's refusing food/water I would say it's time. I'm sorry your family is going through this. 😥

Plain yogurt can help with any bad stomach bacteria and it helps settle dogs' stomachs. I would get a second opinion from the vet, it might save you from having to put her to sleep. But at the end of the day, you know what's best for your family and your pup and sometimes that's just letting go so her pain stops :( ill be keeping your family in my thoughts ❤
