Are you sure it’s your period? Breastfeeding often delays your period so it’s uncommon to get it that soon after birth. For me it was 10 months for both kids. And yes you may notice a slight decrease in supply when you get your period but it’s temporary. But most likely your supply is regulating which happens around 5-6 weeks, and you’re making exactly what baby needs. Just keep feeding him. He will tell your body what to do.
I breastfeed and before my boobs will get really full to where pumping was a must at times when my baby sleeps over 4 hours but now it’s not like that he would get full from one side so I’ll pump the other and now he has to feed from both sides to get full and sometimes that doesn’t even fill him
@babybump01, your milk has regulated.. you shouldn’t still be getting engorged. He’s probably cluster feeding, let him nurse as much as he wants. If he is having wet and dirty diapers and his pediatricians isnt concerned then it’s all good
Mine never did. For some women it can though. I was just exclusively nursing from my breast only though and not pumping so I don't know if that made a difference.
