I’m currently 39 weeks pregnant. And I haven’t gotten a growth of my baby then whole. Time just to find out that I was supposed to be getting one once a month. So the day of my induction I’ll be finally finding out how much my baby weighs. 🤬
I had 2 ultrasounds in the third trimester with my daughter and they still didn’t tell me estimated size. They estimated her size by feeling and measuring my belly to make sure I was on track. Was there a concern with growth of some sort? That’s usually the only time they look at a size estimate.
@tyzbarbie, That’s a good thing that you get it same day as induction, it’ll give them a more updated look on things, wish you well on your birthing process, i was induced with my first one and went by fast hopefully it’s fast for you also
@denisse.m, Its hard when they don’t explain what should be happening. And you find out late. But thank you and I hope so too. I just wanna hold my baby
they don’t tell you how much the baby weighs at your appointments unless you have an ultrasound done they can only estimate as it can be off by 1 or 2 pounds.
@tyzbarbie, and they never gave you an estimate of the baby weigh? Now that’s weird because usually at high risk they give you estimates to make sure everything is good for when you deliver. I’m sorry you had to go through this, is this your first pregnancy?
They don't tell you the weight of baby every month. All they do is measure your stomach when you get further along and try to find baby's head to see if it's down or not and sometimes they don't always measure either... you can only get a rough estimate of weight by ultrasound and that's not even accurate because most of the time ultrasounds are off by 1 or 2 pounds. With my first they said he was going to be around 7.5lbs and ended up being over 8.5lbs and with my second they told me he would be quite small at around 6lbs and ended up being over 7.5lbs.
