Do your research. There’s a lot of shit in them that you wouldn’t even want to ingest, let alone your newborn. When high fructose corn syrup is one of the first ingredients... no thanks.
@newmommy81519, there’s a good one here in the states. It’s avail at health food stores and online. (Amazon) It says for one year and up but only because the company encourages breastfeeding for that first year. I thought about ordering holle too but the overseas thing seemed unrealistic for an entire year.
it really depends, there’s no right answer. some babies need formula that’s extra gentle, some are fine with a regular formula. it’s also up to you if you want to stick to traditional formulas, or choose something organic that has more naturally derived ingredients — these formulas are significantly more expensive. if you’re going to breastfeed, and supplement with formula, there’s some specifically for that.
similac pro formulas are highly recommended as good formulas! my son needed a special blend because of food allergies, but before i knew that he was on similac pro total comfort, it’s the formula his pediatrician recommends for all of her formula babes!
