Mama,I just googled and found the reason you are asking this question. I am so sorry you have to deal with the reality of this ugly world. My prayers that you find the strength to speak to your children about this, the courage to be truthful, the wisdom on how to approach it, and the compassion and gentle touch to inform them without stealing their innocence too early. I am so sorry our children are increasingly at risk due to crazy people like the woman responsible for this threat. Hugs mama for you! Prayers for safety for all.
@iltoco Thank you! It was a good but tiring day. I had a friend here when I was younger who had been a student in Columbine on the day of the tragedy there. I wish I could fix all the world's problems but as you know that's not possible. I think the best thing is to just to take it one day and one truth at a time.
@xryztalroze glad you had a good day! I ended up having to have a more in-depth talk about mental illness with my two older kids. Authorities found the young lady up in the mountains, she had committed suicide. All we can do is be honest and protect our children the best we can! And you're right, take one day at a time. I'm sure they will have more questions tomorrow once they are home from school. Have a wonderful evening dear!
@iltoco My heart breaks for her family and loved ones. Such a sad waste of life. But perhaps it's for the best. At least she can no longer hurt anyone(threat or actual). Finally getting to bed and happy all is ok for you and your family. Hope that all goes well in your continued talks! Have sweet dreams!
