Yes he is tantrumy but thats normal for a 2 years old
Yes he cries when he is upset: he doesnt have the words to express his feelings yet
Yes he is testing the limits a lot : he needs to test them to learn where they are
And no, tantrums do NOT make him uncivilised and no i am not ashame to go out with him on his bad days.

So MANY truths to your statement!!! Some people are just ridiculous judgmental idiots who live in glass houses. Don't pay them any mind! Let kids be kids. They grow and learn. I'd defend my child in a heartbeat if someone gave me a look or said something about my child's behaviour in public. I am NOT the mother to mess with!! Tell it like it is honey, he's your child. Don't ever let others make you feel bad about his behavior or temperament.
