I only have one child and I love it. I have my moments where sometimes I wish I could have more but it usually passes fairly quickly lol. I love being able to devote my time to my son. My husband grew up as an only child and loved it.

I have not done it but when I had my first I was for sure I only wanted 1 child and I felt that way for over a year, however my mind changed and I now have 4. Your child is too young to know for sure you only want one in my honest opinion. I am so glad that nobody would have tied my tubes after my first I would have done it and totally regret it. The fact that your profile says you are planning to try for your second at the end of this year is truly telling that you are not all that sure as well. You also made a post a month and a half ago saying you would be trying at the end of the year what has changed in that short period that you are so sure you only want one? These are the exact reasons drs won’t do it people flip flop too much.

I know a few people who did it at 25 and the other was 24. I don't think you'll have a problem if you're over the age of 18. You're an adult and it's your choice

I'm an only child and I hated it growing up. I liked the fact I didn't have to share things and was spoiled but I wish I had a little brother or sister. This is my second son I'll be having tomorrow and I'm nervous and afraid but I know my son will love having a little brother to bond with. I have friends who have siblings and talk about doing fun stuff together or as kids and I wish I had that type of bond with someone. The best to do is try birth control and if down the road y'all want another then go for it. But I wouldn't try getting fixed. My hubbs mom regrets getting fixed after her 2 kids (same dad) because she never gave her husband now a child.

I’ve never done it but know some (and many on here) who have went through a reversal. Many regret it and why it is hard to get a doctor to do it.

My husband grew up “as” the only child and hated it. That’s why ours are so close in age. My life long friend had a baby and the doctor something happened with the doctor but a week later they had to do an emergency hysterectomy and she feels terrible for her child being the only one. Even though Her and her husband and only wanted one. Because she has no chance to ever change her mind.

I've never done it but I hear my friends saying they wish they had at least 2 kids. Finding a Dr will probably be hard.
