I'm buying Emry a little pet! I want him to have a little baby bunny but none of the pet stores have them 😒 Does anyone know where I can find one?
Bettas are much better options. For a betta you need a min of 3 gallons and a heater and filter. My toddlers love their bettas. They make good pets and ours are going on 2 year's
@shelyndra, you can always take her to a petting zoo for that. A rabbit would not be a happy camper as a house pet in a home with a toddler and a baby. It would get very stressed and be miserable.
Bunnies get easily stressed which causes them to get sick and pass away. They are very delicate. The beta fish sounds like a much better idea.
I had a rabbit when I was a kid and it always ran under the bed and would stay there for days I'm guessing it was sick.
I have a beta for my toddlers. They named him fishy. My daughter loves helping me clean his bowl and they love when I feed him.
See I forgot about the cleaning of the fish bowl and having to deal with the water. I'd rather get another hamster.
Beta fishies are a great first pet! They're low maintenance. A life span of rabbits are like 12ish years and they require a lot of work and space. Toddlers are not ideal pet owners for rabbits.
@shelyndra, Look up care/requirement videos for bunnies on YouTube. Please do research b4 you go out and buy one
I say a betta fish . I bought my son 1 for his birthday last June . Good first pets . Bunnies and rabbits are not good . Agree with pp ( not friendly and a lot of work)
Yeah I was thinking about a fish but Emry is a more hands on kid and I don't think a fish would appreciate that.
@shelyndra, my child is also a hands on child. He helps feed and clean the fish tank. We had a rabbit when my older kids were little. We couldn’t even pick him up. He’d scratch really hard and get anxiety. You’re better off getting a puppy in my opinion.
Bunnies or rabbits are not good for a toddler. And its cruel if u dont know how to properly care for one. They require allot more work than people know
Bunnies are easily scared. They really shouldn’t be owned by toddlers. What about a fish?
I was thinking about a fish too but Emry is going to want to hold the fish lol
Bunny’s are a lot of work. Unless you know how to properly care for one I don’t recommend them as a kids pet for Easter.
But if you do. I would check fb or tractor supply.
@shelyndra, they sell all kinds of stuff! that’s where i get my chickens.
@mockingbird. Thats cool I'm gonna have to check that out. I'm going to get chickens soon when I move.
