So this isnt mom related, but i need some opinions. I had a work accident on tuesday night that was no where in the realm of being my fault. I got hit in the head by a 45lb bench press bar that wasnt stacked correctly, and it busted my head open pretty good. I bled so much it was insane, ruined my safety vest that i bought with my own money, and ruined my shirt. Well our onsite medical team cleaned me up and said that it was a superficial cut and a scrape and i didnt need stitches. Well they're suppossed to call like a corporate hotline to get a second opinion on what to do, but they didnt because he said "theyll just make me call you an ambulance, and i see no reason why you need to go to the hospital." I was out of it, and not really thinking, so i just said "ok, well im going home now." They wouldnt let me keep my vest and wash it because it was a biohazard, but they let me leave with my shirt on even though it was just as covered (we have an employee store that they easily could have given me a shirt from)? Also, i wasnt made to take a drug test even though it was a work accident and theyre required when an accident happens. It all seems kinda fishy, like they're trying to keep from taking any responsibility for it. I kinda wanna talk to a lawyer, but im on the fence...

You could contact corporate, you can make a fuss about it. You will most likely not get any money from it because you were not seriously injured. Only thing that’s going to come out of the situation is you’re going to burn bridges and lose your job.

Im not looking to get money or anything, im honestly concerned that they went about this so fishily so that IF theres anything that comes from this later on (cuz you know, head injuries can cause problems that dont show up right away), theyre not going to foot the bill even though it happened at work

I would definitely contact corporate myself and file a complaint that they did not handle your accident professionally. If corporate does nothing i suppose contacting a lawyer and getting advice on what to do with your situation would be great.
