Ugh I wish everyone one would understand the importance of car seat safety. At the obgyn this morning and this couple brings in their beautiful baby with his chest clip all but in his lap right on top on the buckle between his legs 🙄🙄
It breaks my heart when I see kids in their seats incorrectly. I was at Walmart the other day and there was a baby probably 3-4 months old and they had the straps in the highest slot and they were wayyyy above his shoulders, not snug at all and his chest clip was down to his belly and to top it off they had his seat on top of the cart which is a big no no 😩😩.
@brandonsmommy, yep that’s fine! It’s just putting the seat on top that’s dangerous because it makes it more prone to flip because it’s top heavy and it can mess up the car seat. I tried to just wear her or use her stroller as much as I could but sometimes I had to put her in the cart.
I know it’s so sad, it makes good parents look horrible because the car is so dangerous. And no amount of love will save that baby in an accident if it’s not strapped correctly.
Even a lot of Drs give bad advice! And because they are a Dr people just assume they are correct when they aren’t. They really should start putting graphics on the boxes or tags about proper car seat placement. It’s all in the manual but parents never read those!
They should be teaching this in the hospital upon discharge, and the Peds should be enforcing it, which they don’t. I couldn’t believe that no one checked our car seat when we were leaving. I looked everything up, and was positive he was in correctly, but I really wanted piece of mind, and they couldn’t tell me anything 😒.
