Does anyone know what causes a back labor? I know that it means the baby’s spine is rubbing against mine and they come out sunny side up however idk what makes the babies do that.

Nothing really causes them to be faced the wrong way. It just happens sometimes. My middle boy was sunny side up, and even with the epidural I could feel loads of pressure on my back.

Yeah my son was too but I’m getting a lot of pain in my back the way I did with him when I was having contractions(even my Braxton Hicks I could feel in my back) I’m just in a lot of pain this time around and it sucks 😪

Mm the head may be pressing down on your tail bone. I was having back labor with my 2 and when i tell you that is the worse pain it is. 🤯 when I felt it seemingly in my butt. 😅 O yeah and baby is not necessarily facing the wrong way.

I don’t think she’s head down yet however she sits incredibly low so maybe he whole body is Down there causing pain cause I was just about in tears

i have no idea honestly, but its amazing that your already 20 weeks pregnant! 💕😍💕 @bubbys.mommy, doesnt the 2nd pregnancy go by way faster than the 1st? 🤔 thats how it felt to me when i was pregnant with my daughter lol, its like time was ticking way faster than when i was pregnant with my son 😂 when i was pregnant with my son it felt like i was gunna be pregnant forever 😂

Lol sorry to break it to ya! I wouldn’t assume you’ll have back labor though. You still have 20 weeks! I think having back pain and soreness during pregnancy is unrelated to labor.

You should try taking a bath or if you can, try to float in water to relieve the pressure off your back.

Sometimes the baby just settles the wrong way. Sometimes during labor they make the turn as they engage into your pelvis. My son’s shoulders were wide and he got himself stuck sideways for weeks. His body was on my right and he was facing the left. I felt him all the time trying to turn himself the correct way but would get stuck and flop back down to my side.
But some babies are the correct position and you still get back labor. Happened with both my sister’s pregnancies
