So I put #2 in a swing so I could make breakfast for #1. He made no fuss the whole time and was interested by the toy thing in front of him, so I automatically complimented on how he’s such a good boy.
As soon as I said it, it was a wtf moment. When did we view good babies as one who can sit by themselves making no noise as if they don’t exist?
God I wish my daughter would have done this! Until she was about 6 months she wouldn't sit and be entertained by anything for longer than a minute!
That’s how my first was! Ds2 is so chill that I can do things, but then I feel so bad cause I’m not sure he’s getting the proper amount of mental stimulation
I honestly love the newborn phase up to the first year. They're so much easier than toddlers! I was a newborn nanny for a few years out of the 7 that I did it and it was my favorite. Even the super fussy ones. Once they start walking and talking it's a whole new ball game.
But I guess I’m sensitive about what constitutes a good baby vs a bad one since yesterday was a family/ friend get together and EVERYONE was asking if he was good and I had no idea how to answer cause I find it such an odd question
I just call him easy. Good is when i wrestle his onesie over his head and he calms himself down.
