So my MIL has said that while I'm not working it is my job to keep the house clean. Which is 100% reasonable. But I went out of town for the last 24 hours to have my family's side of my baby shower only to come back to the trash over flowing and the counter FULL of dishes!!! I don't think it's to much to ask that when I'm gone you maintain how it looked when I left! Like I keep up on it when I'm here the least you can do is throw your dirty dishes in the dishwasher! I'm beyond pissed at this point!!

In my home we all clean “I am not a personal maid” and we both work full time no excuses in my opinion and by the time my older son’s were in 4th grade I taught them how to wash their own clothes

Bc if so she’s treating you like a maid. It’s 100% my job to keep my house clean BUT there aren’t other grown ass people here. (Besides my man) if I were to go out of town for a few days he will do the cleaning wtf is her issue straight laziness.

Unless your living with her and she’s providing everything for you , I don’t think you need to Keep the whole house clean it should be keep up after your self
