I call it both. But to me the string cheese ones are the ones that peel and the cheese sticks are the ones that don't peel like the long cubed ones.
I call both now mostly cheese stick it but when I was younger I called it string cheese
I use to call them string cheese until my job marks them as cheese sticks. 🤦🏻♀️
In Wisconsin string cheese and cheese sticks are two very different things lol but we also have wonderful delicious amazing cheese curds which I found out a few years back not every state has. And it's a damn shame. I also eat cheese by the brick. Without cutting it. I love cheese.
