Earlier today I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive.
I'm very shocked because I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and thought it would be difficult to conceive.
Protection was used our whole marriage until recently.
We started making love without protection but I was tracking my ovulation for a bit longer than a year to feel a bit safer about family planning.
We've talked about our options but I dunno what to do...
Would really appreciate advice on what to do next.

Everything will be so much money and I don't work or have insurance.
I've been looking up prices for a hospital birth and it's ridiculously expensive, almost twenty thousand dollars.
That's not including everything needed like a bassinet and car seat.
It's really stressful but I've already decided to go through with my pregnancy and become a family with my husband.
Unfortunately, I don't have a village to help and wouldn't even have anybody to invite to my baby shower if I decide to have one...it's heartbreaking going through it alone. Not being able to tell my parents they will be grandparents but there's nothing I could do so I try not to stress about that.

@lovelypoppy, well keep in touch with me if you have a boy.. I have clothes if you want from my son it’s barely worn and some still have tags on it.. but either way stay in touch and make a registry.

You can make two choices after having an abusive past and those choices are to be exactly what u saw or to be completely different. Children are amazing and will change ur life completely! Although they are not for everyone, I belive they are miracles! Obviously being financially stable is a big deal with having children, is there any way you could save or work more , or are you not wanting a child right now ?

Unfortunately, I don't work and my husband doesn't want me to work.
I've been stalked by my family and they won't leave me alone so we decided I would always be with someone in case they try to do something.
Also, my parents never got me an identification card and we've recently been able to get one after a few years of trying.
When we move maybe I'll get a job and my husband is already thinking about moving and starting our family so he told me not to stress about money and to focus on being happy and healthy for the baby.
We never wanted to become parents but after we found out it all changed.
I've been wanting to break the cycle of abuse for forever and I am positive we will be wonderful parents and I can't wait to hold my baby.

Almost every state has some form of Medicaid for pregnant women which will significantly cut down on dr and hospital visits. WIC will help with food and a lot of towns have pregnancy centers that help with getting free bassinets and car seats for those in need.
