my son is coughing and wheezing and stuffy, should i take him to urgent care tomorrow? just checked for a fever & it was 98.2, i’ll keep checking through the night but I don’t want it to get worse

Put a humidifier in his room near his bed. Just make sure it’s a cool mist one. If it’s a hot one put it where he can’t reach it and watch closely til you can get a cool mist. Run the shower on hot and sit in the bathroom with door closed and let baby breathe in steam to clear passages. Suction his nose to help too. But I would watch for fevers and if it helps ease your mind call the nurses at the pediatricians office and get their advice in the morning.

Oh I missed wheezy. If he’s truly wheezing I wouldn’t mess with that. I’d see if I could get an appt with pediatrician in the morning. If not urgent care. But watch for signs for struggling to breathe.

@whereswaldo, thanks mama, i’ll call his ped in the morning and see if I can bring him in. his cousin just had a cold last week so i’m afraid he caught it
