My next door neighbour has taken up a habit of burning things in a barrel in his backyard. He's done me a few favours in the past so I don't really wanna have a pop at him... but the fumes are getting into my house all the time. They give me a headache so god knows about how it's effecting my poor girlie 😓 I wouldn't mind if it was the odd time but it's becoming daily 😓
My dad told me that the smell was more of a burning copper smell. My boyfriend thinks it's burning plastic. It tends to be thick black smoke that pierces through the house. I will get it seen too. I wouldn't mind if I lived alone but not with a baby in here x
If you guys are on good terms, why not just mention it politely first.
That's what I'd do anyway before reporting to the landlord or council. Otherwise it can end up in arguments. X
He's a gypo. Bit of a nutcase tbh. My boyfriend did ask him to let us know if he's burning so we can close the windows. He doesn't let us know but it wouldn't make a difference, still gets in. I'll mention it to him but there's isn't really a middle ground. He's gunna wanna burn stuff every day and I want it minimalised to like once a week. It's toxic x
@clarelushx oh well if that the case then definetly report it. Like you say there's no middle ground. You can't have your baby smelling toxic crap either xx
Report it to your landlord or council. Your not allowed to have fires until past 7pm x
My landlords popping round next week for an inspection. I'll mention it to him then see what he can do x
What's he burning? Certain things shouldn't be burnt and a normal wood fire wouldn't smell toxic, I'd ask him to stop and if he doesn't I'd go to environmental health x
