If you're leaving your children in a safe environment once a month, twice a month, or even once a week so you can have date night or just go out with other adults to keep your sanity, THAT IS FINE AND YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL LIKE A BAD PARENT
I don't care if Susie-the-stay-at-home-mom on Facebook has never been away from her baby for 5 minutes and makes you feel like a bad parent for going to the grocery store alone, YOU'RE NOT

Crazy bc lately I've been shamed for the opposite! My friend (mother of an almost 3yr old) was mocking me for not wanting to stay out all night away from my child. Like I like to get out once in a while, but I want to see my child since I don't see him often due to work. I'd like to go out and enjoy a meal and a drink with a friend. But I also want to see my child before he goes to bed, or not go a whole day without seeing him.
Damned if we do damned if we don't 🙄

That seems to be the MO for motherhood. Damned if we do, damned it we don't, no matter what we do!

Yeah, I know this feeling all to well. But for someone like me, I can't go out. I don't have a license or car. I don't have any friends or family to go with. And most important, I have seizures and can't go by myself. So, it'd be nice but can't. But I understand and argee. 😊
