My 10 year old son has a problem with male authorities.
A background on him: basically it has been just me and him since he was born up to just 3 years ago. And he's also ADHD. I don't know if that's necessary to know.
Can I have some suggestions on why that might be??

Significant other, his teacher, my brother. Any male basically. Other then my dad. I never seen him have a problem with but of course he doesn't see him all the time. Mainly only for holidays

Probably just has a problem with your good for nothing SO. Find someone positive to be in his life and I’m sure his behavior will change.

Well, if there was never any male authority and there is now, he probably resents a male telling him what to do. This would be a good question for a therapist. It might help him to talk to someone.

It's any male. Weather it be my significant other or his teacher or even my brother. And he goes to a behavioral therapist for his ADHD. He just started though and only been once
