My parents watched my son tonight and when I picked him up he smiled at me and immediately I noticed he had chipped his front tooth. I asked my parents what had happened and they insisted that nothing had happened. I brushed his teeth prior to leaving and his teeth were all fine. My son is rough and he falls all the time. I'm not upset about the tooth (I saw this coming due to his adventurous ways) but I am really concerned that they didn't even notice that it happened. It must have hurt him. How could no one notice?

Keep an eye on his gums above that tooth. Any bleeding or anything?? Watch for a bump. That’s called a fistula and is a sign of infection

Honestly I watch my son very well but also didn’t notice when he chipped his tooth. I can guess when it happened but don’t know for sure

This makes me feel better. I know my mom wouldn't lie to me about it but I was a little concerned that she hadn't realized it happened at all. He is such a busy kid and he is always getting hurt. Maybe it cracked some other time and just came out while there or something.

yeah my sons super active too so he’s always got a new bump and bruise or cut that sometimes I can’t explain. But that’s what kids do
