My son has an iep so I’m not sure if it’s the same but they watched him play and asked him to do things

They test for preschool?!!! 😳 I thought that was just kindergarten!!! My sister is putting her daughter in Montessori preschool and they "test" but it was her playing for an hour just to see how she does and where she would be placed.

I’m wondering if this is kind of the same thing. The school is a catholic school. I thought she didn’t “need” to know very much for preschool. I knew kinder had testing. I am 100% taken aback and wondering what happens if she doesn’t “pass”?...

Oh maybe that's just what they call it then. My sister was freaking out 😄 she will do good. My kids start in the Fall and they called it teacher/parent conference.

Me son goes Friday also but for kindergarten.. for him I think it'll be different since he's autistic, but for him they're just going to evaluate him and see what he's capable of doing and see if he'll need an aide.. they're also going to set up an IEP plan for him

See and I knew for kinder she would be tested. I just didn’t expect it for preschool. I didn’t know they had to know much of anything for preschool.

yeah I didn't think so for preschool either! That's crazy, maybe each school is different 🤔 or I'm not really sure
