he probably might not want to but from what my aunt said is if my fiance can establish that he has been in her life and takes care of her it should be easy to termainate my bd rights since he has never taken care of her she doesnt know him and ive always contacted him I have all the texts call everything

Is he paying child support? It’s not as easy as your aunt made it sound. The bio dad has to agree and the judge also has to agree. I’m sure the judge will because it does sound like it’s in the best interest of the child. But if the bio dad is paying child support and he says no. It might not happened because legally he is only obligated to pay child support.

no he doesnt pay child support and my aunt is a judge thats why she said it that way because he doesnt do anything for her never even meet her so she said that the judge wont have a hard time seeing that he isnt fit

if he isn’t paying for anything he shouldn’t have an issue giving up his rights. It’ll release him from any financial responsibility, and squash any back pay also. It should be a fast process if he agrees. Hopefully he does and doesn’t try to fight it.
