National Autism Awareness Day...
As someone who worked in the disability world for 12 years, I come to the table with a world of compassion and understanding. Never did I think once it would be my child. But now that I have this high functioning guy over here I wouldn’t change it for the world. I think I proved my love when I left the Bay for him! I will do everything in my power to make sure I provide the tools he will need to be successful at whatever he ends up choosing, even if that meant giving up my SF skyline. He’s worth it!!!

You too and kudos to you for such amazing early intervention. That’s where I had my challenges. Zay had a pediatrician who wasn’t listening and a super impacted school district who couldn’t get to test him until AFTER I moved here soooo here I am being super advocate Momma now that my resources are way more accessible. My wifey is even a school psychologist and does the assessments for our little ones! I feel sooo blessed to have such an amazing tribe around me. Getting here was sooo hard but sooo worth it.
My son was finally diagnosed as mild to moderate with sensory processing disorder but above average academically. He’s going to an ABA based preschool within our district 5 hours a day 4 hours a week and he will have outside OT, speech, feeding, and ABA here at home.
He’s gonna do awesome because of you 💙. Happy Autism awareness!
