I’m in the same boat. It’s hard because one of the milestones I want him to hit is sitting unsupported before we try eating foods. I know “food before 1 is just for fun” but I want him to get used to flavors and textures. 😩

Every baby is different . Try the bumbo chair . We have one and my son loved it. My son didn't actually walk until his very first birthday. He stood up at like 10-11 months but didn't actually walk until he was one. He was also stubborn . He wouldn't let you teach him anything . He had to do it all on his own.

My daughter will be 6 months in 9 days and she’s not sitting up alone yet either. Don’t stress it baby will do it when she’s ready doesn’t mean she’s behind ☺️

We have a walker with a removable activity board. I used that to give my kids something to play with so the focus wasn't on sitting up it was on the activity board. Sitting up is a work out for babies. I hate working out if it isn't fun, so I try to make it fun for them.

My nephew didn't sit up until around 8 months, and he was walking shortly after his birthday. Not sitting up yet does not mean she is behind. I think the typical range is anywhere up to 9 months, so she still has time! You can always ask the doctor for suggestions if you want, but just continue tummy time activities. For my son I would have him 'sit' and I'd hold his hands for practice.

Every baby moves at their own pace. When my son was in physical therapy we learned good ways to assist him with sitting up. It seemed to help just by working with him and building his strength. Maybe google those?
