I went up north with my daughter last weekend by myself with her to visit family, and now my daughter started this thing where when we put her to bed she cries and say's to me and to my husband that she wants momma. She doesn't want to sleep next to her dad anymore she only wants me. And as flattered as I am sometimes I just want some time to myself after having her all day. Is or has anyone else gone through this?? If I don't sleep next to her she will scream and cry for me and it breaks my heart so I end up caving and sleeping next to her instead which in result hurts my husbands pride a little bit.

This is happening to me with my 1 year old right now. Exact same thing - my son will only sleep on me or next to me. It lasts for about a week or two after visiting my parents... 🙄

I don't understand why all of a sudden after visiting my parents she wants only me to sleep next to her. We go up monthly to see them and she just started doing this last night. It breaks my heart, I don't like when she cries so I cave and sleep next to her instead. But it is tough at times when I just want me time, but can't because my daughter only wants me. I hope it gets better for you soon. ❤

I know it's so strange... my theory is that they don't get enough mom time when their grandparents are all over them lol and if your daughter needs you, then you gotta do what you gotta do 🙂 usually these things are phases and will pass soon enough. So we just gotta roll with it for a while 😁 good to know I'm not the only one also!!

Me every night with are 2.5 years old and don’t get me wrong i love spending time with him but I spend all day with them I just want to enjoy some quiet time and adult tv shows and nope he will scream until I go in there
