We just replaced our dishwasher that had been broken since the end of December... hand washing dishes for 3 months almost broke me. I was to the point of tears and paper plates (no one brings their dishes to the sink, they leave them wherever and hide their silverware. My husband helped 2 times in those 3 months to do the dishes.. both times after 5 minutes of helping he wandered off and claimed to be watching the kids, while the youngest cried at my feet to be picked up and the eldest sat on the floor in the corner asking me to help him with every level of his game on the tablet...)

Dishwasher gave out a couple years ago and we just got a brand new one LOL it didn’t bug me doing them by hand but now I have twice as much dishes LOL fuck that

We went a month without a dishwasher last year, and I was at the point of paper plates and disposable cutlery, after only a month. Three months and I'm sure we would have been at the takeout every night so I would have no pots to wash!

Definitely the best part. Our hot water tank sprang a leak yesterday. Only a few months after our pressure tank sprang a leak, we had to put a water neutralizer in, and our sewer backed up. Which was shortly after the fridge died. So much fun 😂

yes and spending 1,500 to have our attic sealed properly so bats stay out of the house. Being a homeowner is nice but expensive lol
