🌞I grew up in a very controlling household. What my dad told me to do I did. I had no control over my destiny, my spirit was always throbbing to be released and find who I truly was suppose to be—

When I listened to @Oprah’s Super Soul Conversation with @drshefalitsabary I cried and I wasn’t even two minutes into the conversation!

My controlling fathers antics have unfortunately rubbed off on me and I catch my self, literally every minute, wanting to control Ziana’s moves, not much Gunner’s though.

I see myself in @zianaEliz so much and the truth is I’m trying to ‘reclaim my lost self’ in her. Parenting isn’t suppose to be a projection of yourself onto your child. Parenting is a means to allow the spirit of another to shine
