You can always take a break. We tried for a few weeks with my son and it resulted in him making himself sick and lots of anxiety. He’d hold poop in for days, then have a day or two of diarrhea ALL DAY LONG. And would freak out anytime anyone even said potty. So we stopped.
We’re about to start back up again. We read potty books every night. He’s excited about his big boy potty again. Hopefully it goes a little smoother 🤞🏻

He also has a speech disability and some sensory issues. But clearly he knows when he has to go. He’s got a great potty dance and can hold poop in for days. So it’s just figuring out how to get him to communicate and be willing to go to the potty.

My daughter knows all about the potty and when to go and all of that good stuff but just refuses to stop playing or doing whatever long enough to go to the potty so I end up cleaning pee out of the couch and off the floor soooooo many times 😩 I’ve gave up several times and took a break for a few weeks

yes I want jr to be able to tell me because its tiring just sitting him on the potty everyday because he wont say a word about having to use it
