One of the highlights of my career was getting to share the cover of @essence with my sister Tia. Growing up I didn’t really get to see a lot of young women like me on the cover of the popular teen magazines. Essence provided a place where I could see a reflection of myself. Your magazine provided a place for inspiration; beauty, fashion, and stories that reflected me. For that I say, 'Thank You.'⁣
