Question Moms,
My son is 2 now and becoming too long for the changing table. I wanna make a a bigger one for him because its easier for me. What did u guys do whn ur baby outgrew the changing table?
My son is almost 2 and although he is longer than his changing table we still use it since im usually holding his feet to clean him anyways. But if he was to big I'd probably do it on the floor or on a bed so I don't have to bend. The dresser is not a bad idea at all though, I use to have a changing pad on a dresser for my second.
I switched to the floor with a pad I pull out from under his dresser. My guy is a giant (38 inches and 33 lbs), so even when not pregnant getting him up there was getting to be too much.
is he showing readiness signs for potty training? if so, im not sure it’d be worth it because ~usually~ by two kids are either ready or getting ready to be potty trained. but if he’s not, you could use the top of his dresser or something similar, and use an extra long pillow maybe memory foam that’s more stable? not sure if that would work well or not but it’s the first thing that came to mind.
No not yet. Thats one of the reasons I was asking for info from people who actually had to deal with this issue. I plan on refinishing a dresser to do it.
@madukes, i haven’t had to deal with it yet because my sons only 1, and he’s tiny anyway 😂 ive heard boys are slower to be “potty-ready,” hope you figure something out. if you’ve gotta change his diaper you at least deserve to do it comfortably lmao. the dressers a good idea because it’ll still be useful down the road!
