Last night was rough. Elora was constipated and kept passing gas. She would fall asleep then wake up screaming and farting every 30 min. I gave her a warm bath and checked her temperature. I called the nurse line to ask if there is anything safe for newborns for constipation and they said no and that its normal that newborns can sometimes go 24 hours without pooping... like I'm aware but she is TRYING to poop and she is in pain. Useless. I got her to sleep for a little less than an hour at a time by holding her and patting her bottom/back. Which basically meant I slept for about 45 min at a time then woke up to her high pitched screaming in my face the poor baby. She finally was able to poo at about 10am, now we are both pooped.
