So the doctors decided that since Nia has been intensely trying to suck on any and everything that maybe the next time I go to visit we maybe able to put her to breast after I pump. Normally they start doing this about 34 wks . But in the meantime the nurse may try giving her a bottle with a little bit of milk just to see what she does. I noticed the last couple of times that I've done skin to skin with her that she was rooting and trying to suck on me. I should be happy because she's making such great progress but I can't be because my anxiety is such a negative bitch that just keeps sucking the joy out of any good news I get.

Baby won't bear weight on leg

Baby won't bear weight on leg I have a walking 10 month old and she has been extra fussy yesterday and today. Today I noticed she didn't really want to crawl, she would just cry until I came and picked her up. After I fed her, I tried setting her down to play with her big sister and she just started crying and wouldn't put any weight on her left leg. She will put weight down on her right leg but then just cries until you pick her back up. I thought maybe she just didn't want to be put down (as baby's often do). I tried a few more times over the next 30 minutes and she still won't put any weight on it. I had a meeting (I work from home), so I took her upstairs to my husband. She is now playing with her siblings and happy, but he text me (from upstairs) and says she still won't put weight on it. She is just sitting there playing.

I hate doing this to her but I really don't want her to suck her fingers. She sucks the middle and index finger. She refuses any pacifier I give her. She already has one tooth at the bottom and I don't want her to be sucking them when the top ones come in. The doctor said it's a phase and it'll pass but I'm afraid she won't and spoil her teeth. Did any of your kids just stopped by themselves or did you have to do this?
