My husband did really well considering he had never been around a baby before. Our son was his first and he's a great dad. I can't wait to see him with our daughter.
my husband never got the baby blues I had postpartum depression after the baby but he was always just fine, with my pregnancy now he wants it to be a girl since we already have a boy, but everything should be just fine.
Some men are great but others not so much... my ex couldn't handle our son at all and was not good with him, my current boyfriend is great with the kids but he's not much help at night so it can be frustrating.
My SO great with all of them. Hes overprotective with them all and it gets annoying because I'll have to play bad cop when they act up. He was great with them when they were newborn but again he's a little over board lol
My husband is a great dad, to both boys but he's not much help. As of right now I'm a SAHM so hes not around the baby all day but in the morning before he goes to work I wish I had a little more help but dads dont think you need help until you ask
My husband is a great dad. However when our boys were newborn he was constantly scared of hurting them not from anger but on accident. I’d go to hand him a baby and he’d tense up and ask me if I was sure I needed to do whatever I was about to do. Usually I’d state something snarky like, ‘oh do you mean you would rather I pee my pants on the furniture so you can change diapers on me while I change our baby?!’ He was fine never hurt them and eventually lightened up. He did better the second time around. Partially because our first was so hard and partially because he understood what I needed from him better, and finally because neither of us were depressed the second time (though I had the baby blues for a short while afterwards).

That's great! I keep reading these articles about how men get the baby blues too but I guess it's not as common

as a newborn he did. It’s harder for him to deal with the crying now that she’s 19 months for whatever reason.
