Honestly, my biggest pet peeve. And I always double check my son's harness after others buckle him…

Yup I always have to check it when other people buckle my son in his car seat too.

I usually always check even tho I rant about the chest clip all the time to everyone. I had my cousin put one girl in while I got the other because we were in a rush and she didnt move the chest clip up, I realized it AFTER we had gotten back to my house from where we were and I went off on her! Its so important I don't understand how people do not know. ITS CALLED A CHEST CLIP FOR A REASON!

I had someone who I trusted put my baby in and the one time I did not check her except to glance in, I always had before and have after, she was not only in incorrectly her legs were through the harness in a way that I have never seen and I cried taking her out at home. Chest clip was in place correctly. It was the bottom portion. Idk how the heck the person got the harness on her little legs wrong, but never again!!!

Same, I don’t let other people buckle her.

I also ALWAYS check my sons buckles when someone else buckles him in too. I know it probably makes people mad but idc. My crazy ass mother in law would ride with him out of the car seat if I wouldn’t crawl her ass. I never trust her buckling him in because she says it’s “too tight” she don’t want to hurt him. To that I say f you lady. You sure don’t want to hurt him but our okay with it killing him cause it’s not buckled properly. Smh. Some people just don’t get it. 🤦🏼‍♀️

This!! I let my baby fathers sister watch my son for an hour or so, but when she took him, I placed him in the car seat correctly and buckled him in myself. When she brought him back, the buckle was at his stomach! Like what the hell? Never letting her watch him again.
