My grandma who’s like my mom, gets mad cause I make my kids remove their jackets/coats to get into their car seats🤷🏼♀️ she don’t get it 🤦🏽♀️ she keeps saying they’ll be cold...well they’ll be alive so that’s all that matters smh 👌🏽 she pisses me off sometimes. Maybe it’s hard to grasp because car seats were literally just a strap over the head and buckle when I was little but damn.

My 6 year old takes hers off by herself and grabs her carseat poncho.
Kynzleigh wears a thin fleece jacket in the car. We don't even use her bulky coat because I don't take them out . They usually go straight from car to into store 🤷
Yeah mine rarely wear heavy coats and I always keep a spare blanket in the car but they also never complain of being cold I’ve explained time after time about compression in the event of a accident and she don’t get it. 🤦🏽♀️
Good for you! More people need to be like you. It’s not always the easiest thing utilizing a car seat correctly, but well worth it. ☺️
My daughter also takes her jacket off the moment we hit the truck lol
