In California we get 4 weeks prior to due date and 6-8weeks after. We also get 6weeks of bonding time. Talk to your doctor.

Not willingly, my work won't let my short term disability kick in until "the event" happens. I wrote on someone else's posts yesterday they tried to ask their doc to write them out and the doc only moved her to part time. I will ask my doc tomorrow but she's pretty by the book ....

@waitingonbaby2, oh okay May be all doctors are different I thought at 36 weeks you can take off work before baby arrives especially when you cant do much at the end and it’s so hard to work and body aches, you get 4 weeks before and 6 weeks after ask your dr and 8 weeks if it’s cesarean
