Hey ladies! So, I was hoping for some advice. We’re adopting and our beautiful baby is only about 3-4 weeks along (the first prenatal appointment is next Friday 😭) and I’m so excited! I don’t want to burden the bio mom but I would love to talk to her more like every day about everything that’s going on and what she’s feeling 😂 how can I not drive the poor woman insane? #AdoptiveMommy #FTM

Totally depends on the mom, but if I was hounded daily about how it was going I'd get super annoyed. Especially so early there's not really anything to report about baby. It's just mom feeling yucky. Try weekly instead.

I haven’t hounded her besides the occasional “how are you feeling, is there anything you need” type of messages. I know it’s early, just excited

I wouldnt do everyday lol...maybe like once every 2 weeks and after all appoitments. Then weekly towards the end when shes further along.

I’d ask her what her preference is and comfort level is. Tell her you’re excited, I’m sure she’d understand. Ask her if it’s okay to check in every few days or so. This should be as much your experience as it is hers.
