I’m only 35 weeks.
I have 4 weeks left until my c-section.
But, it’s 4:00am and I’m wide awake. I haven’t fallen asleep yet, and I didn’t take a nap yesterday (tried - but wasn’t tired.)
I know they say the biggest sign of labor coming soon is a sudden burst of energy - to “save that energy because it’s for labor.”
I swear... I better not be close to labor.
I don’t even want a c-section at 39 weeks, id rather wait until 40. (#LetThatBabyGrow!), but they don’t want me to risk going into labor on my own since I really don’t qualify for a vbac.
But, I cannot explain all this sudden energy.
Send me good vibes that I still have a solid 4 weeks left, please! ♥️♥️♥️

What determines if you "qualify" for vbac? Never been in your shoes, so am truly curious to know. And did you have a second opinion? No matter what I just hope your baby is safe when they deliver her and that you stay healthy and have a blessed recovery. Sorry you have to have such concerns during your pregnancy. My first had to be induced bc she went well past term. And my second was 100%all natural. Both were unmedicated and I must say the complete spontaneous delivery was absolutely amazing and far different from the first. I wish every could experience that. My cousin has had all 5 of her children by C-section and I know there are many others out there who can relate. Prayers for a happy, healthy mommy and baby!

I saw 3 doctors after my first and before I tried for Baby No.2. They all ran my “stats”..I have wonky pelvis and I make big babies. I probably would be able to have a successful VBAC, but only if I went into labor between 37-38 weeks. They don’t offer induction for many different reasons to women who’ve had a previous c/section. So, my only option was for a scheduled c/sec. I carried my first to one day shy of 42 weeks, but I’m against induction unless medically necessary so my goal with her was to just wait until 42 weeks. She ended up coming the day before my mandatory induction at 42 weeks.
When I saw all 3 doctors about a possible VBAC, it just came to show that my pelvis is just to tilted. Only a tiny baby would possibly be able to fit through, and it’s just a risk none of the 3 doctors wanted to take.

Oh wow that stinks. As long as baby and you are healthy in the end that is all that matters. Thanks for letting me know. Induction should most definitely be used only if absolutely necessary. So many risks. I went almost 3 weeks late by original due date and 2 weeks past 2nd due date, so had to be induced for baby's safety. Both of my girls were a good size 8lbs-20.5in/8lbs 1oz-20in. Baby 2.0 was only 2 days past her due date. The very best wishes to you and God bless you!!!

Oh yeah, I definitely am the same way. I wake up for a few hours at a time. But, what I mean is I’m just not tired. All yesterday & last night and today. Zero naps. Tons of energy. I feel like I could completely spring clean and not get worn out. That’s what they mean about “labor coming soon”.
