Baby up every hour at night for months now, I’m tired af
She slept really well until 4 months old and then she’s woken up a lot most nights since. She is teething right now so that’s probably why it’s worse than normal. She also has eczema that drives her crazy even if I put medicine on her right before bed and when she wakes up. I’ll check out sleep training techniques. Thank you for your help 😊
She sleeps by my bed. She wants to be held and snuggled when she wakes up.
@fatiguedfiona, can you move her into her own room? She is at the age where she is developing sleep habits so now is a good time to establish her sleeping area and her routine. If you are not feeding her during the night you will probably need to sleep train her so she’s not relying on you to pick her up every time she wakes up. There are gentle methods to use, so do some research and see what’s for you.
I do whatever it takes so she doesn’t wake up anyone else and I guess she knows it :/
As long as you know she doesn’t need food at night and she gets enough calories during the day she doesn’t really need you at night, at this point it’s a habit to get the comfort of you. Did she ever sleep through the night? Is she sick or teething? If not, you can research sleep training techniques. We did cry it out when my son was 8 months and it worked wonders. The second night after doing cry it out for naps and at night he slept through the night! It was a life changer.
